Building Lamplight's own website

A self-initiated website project that turns a founder-led studio's operating model, prices, services, and standards into a clear path from first visit to project inquiry.

The brief and the constraint.

A new studio has no inherited reputation to lean on. The site needed to explain the offer and establish trust without testimonials, client logos, awards, or performance claims.

The business is operated by one founder outside normal business hours. The experience needed to make that constraint understandable while keeping the relationship direct and the next step manageable.

The finished site also has to function as evidence of the work itself: responsive, accessible, fast to deliver, and maintainable without a server runtime.

Decisions before decoration.

Lead with the decision

Pages are organized around what a prospective client needs to decide: what Lamplight builds, who it fits, what it costs, how the process works, and how to start.

Make the operating model visible

Founder access, ownership, response expectations, timelines, and optional ongoing care are stated directly instead of being hidden behind a generic agency presentation.

Use the visual system as proof

A poster-inspired system of bold type, ink rules, paper texture, and limited color gives the studio a recognizable voice while reusable components keep the implementation consistent.

Build the foundations into every page

Semantic headings, visible focus states, reduced-motion support, responsive layouts, per-page metadata, canonicals, structured data, and a static export are part of the implementation rather than optional cleanup.
